About Me:

My name is Adam Carney and I see life as a blank canvas, where anything is possible when we muster the courage and discipline required to create.

Creating pushes us in mysterious ways; it exhalts us, humbles us, it reveals who we truly are. Each creation is a mirror we can hold to ourselves, gifting us invaluable reflections not possible through introspection alone. Each medium— art, music, entrepreneurship — offering us unique reflections, and I am a medium agnositc artist.

In design school, I learned to craft ideas down to their essence, and shape them into concise visual narratives. I spent most of my 20s in a deep study of Yoga, with multiple extended stints in India and a 2-year hiatus living in Bali. I found balance in the contractions of life; during my deep study of yoga I also worked at Ad Agencies, and for a time was a professional poker player.

I believe in healthy creation, which to me means creation that is entirely virtuous for both the creator and receiver. In Ayurveda, they believe this comes when we create from a state of energetic balance. My process of creation is deeply linked to my exploration of health and consciousness. I also believe truly healthy creation comes from deep contemplation, research, and strategic thinking.

In 2018 I founded East+West, which within a year became one of the largest yoga training schools in the world. I sold East+West in 2023. This experience gave me a roadmap for building thriving businesses quickly with little capital.

In 2025, I opened an Integrative Psychology University, (Yes, like a proper degree granting University) called the Integrative Psychology Institute. I also make art and music, which you can find on this site :)
